Lol that's why I said to each their own. This screen upgrade is 100% worth it to me. I have a big touchscreen that can do SO much more than my stock system and the tiny non touchscreen 7" screen or whatever it was haha.

carbon buildup? these are the most reliable cars in the world... can't say the same for german cars as I have little experience with them... never had an issue with any lexus i've owned or toyota for that matter.

My 2IS has it. Just the other day it was shaking pretty bad for the first time at a stoplight. Been shopping around so it seems the 17 fit the bill or a 17 A4. I was hoping for some 4IS leaks, but things don’t look promising. If there were, I’d be even more willing to take the leasing route on a 330.

Been reported here at length the issue has been resolved on this gen. There was 1 report im aware of on 3IS but I think there were other factors at play like poor fuel quality and driving habits. Even then it was not definitive last I read it was just what their mechanic told them.

If you drive it right (i.e., rev it out once in a while) and use top-tier fuel it should be just fine. Some build-up is probably inevitable.

on a side note, just finished testing the 3 series again and it does seem a bit too stiff for me. The lane keeping assist was still aggressive as hell from the first time I remember that almost pulled me into a curb. I just love the looks of this car though. I wish the IS had kept the taillights on the 16 cuz the ones on 17 and after are too droopy, but they fixed the headlights to where the curvature is on top instead of the bottom which I didn’t like.

yeah that was me. Just trying to find out if this gen has any problems. 1 report sounds like an outlier. I always use shell gas now and rev it up when I drive, so I don’t think that will be a problem for me.

Had a random question and wasn't sure where to ask. How difficult an install is this on my IS 350 f sport? Does it accommodate quad tip exhausts that fit 2017+ IS models?
