Hi everyone, I am getting my front grill trim wrapped in gloss black along with the roof and painting the rear diffuser gloss black. I also want to wrap the lower right and lower left grills and think it would be much easier if the grills were removed. I have been searching the threads on CL and can't seem to find an answer. Does anyone know how to remove the lower grills (hopefully without having to remove the bumper).
Thanks in advance for your help!

I'm pretty sure on all Lexuses the grill surrounds screw on from the back so bumper removal would be required. removing the bumper is easy anyway. easier than trying to pickle around with detachment without bumper removal.

Peace everyone! I'm new to this thread and hoping to get some answers to my current issue. I swerved off a major route in MD and went into a small dirt/rock ditch trying to avoid debris in the road and my front driver side wheel blew out and now the rim is bent as well. I noticed that the P/S light came on the dash and my truck is very difficult to steer now. It starts up just find and switches gears, but I lost all power steering capabilities. Had it towed to a local garage where they were able to put the full spare on and run a diagnostic test. The guy came back with these 2 codes:
-POWER STEERING SYSTEM
-C1568, DC TO DC CONVERTER.
-C1241,TOO LOW OR TOO HIGH BATTERY VOLTS.
He then mentioned that he doesn't have the tools to work on my hybrid (strange) and recommended that I take it to the dealer. We all know how they mark the cost up at the dealer
So I had my insurance tow it to another garage, where NO diagnostic has been performed on it, yet they come back with $6K worth of damages stating that I need a new engine cradle, a gear assembly and an alignment, which the later is obvious. My questions are, what exactly do those 2 codes mean and how to they pertain to the other damages that were somehow assessed by the second garage without hooking my truck up to a machine to know what's wrong? More importantly, how would garage #2 know that I need these additional things without performing a proper diagnostic test? I'm torn about taking it to the dealer as my truck is 15 years old. I purchased it used about a year ago, pristine condition, but I'm afraid the dealer may assess damages that exceed my insurance coverage. Garage #2 already has parts and labor at $6K. Can someone please give me a clear explanation as to what those codes mean and exactly what I need to do to get my baby back on the road? Sorry for the extensive paragraph but I wanted to be a precise as possible.....thanks!!!

@wiggz Sorry about your problem, but you’d get a better response by posting in the correct forum, this one is for the 3rd gen IS models, you need an RX forum.

2016 IS300 Fsport AWD here. I'm hoping to purchase the RR-Racing R2 coilovers before summer. Once it is installed, do I need to purchase any aftermarket parts to have a shop align it correctly? Drop should be minimal, maybe 1-1.5".

Plug behind the panel at driver's footwell, taped beside the driver's footwell light
Was installing an OBD gadget and noticed that there is an unused plug taped onto the cable that leads to the driver's side footwell light. Anyone has any idea what this plug is for? Mine is not connected to anything, and has no DTCs nor CEL, is it a factory option accessory or something? That plug on the left is for the driver side footwell light. Thanks.

Hi All,
Newly joined here, I've been searching for ages now for an IS250 2015 Service/Repair Manual but couldn't find anything online except to subscribe from Toyota/Lexus. Has anyone here been able to obtain one and if yes, from where please?
Thanks heaps!
