Default Another battery DEAD!

Since i brought my car since 2014 March..... i have replaced apx 4 batteries...... today marks the 5th battery......

Lexus batteries are bad quality!..........

they check everything and said battery doesn't hold a charge, therefore they replaced....... thank god the car can still start up somehow after few tries...........

extend warranties doesn't cover batteries and my car is only 51K.

Wat? I thought only the '14s had this issue. Surprising to hear that a new-ish one does. Do you not drive much?

Could be an isolated incident. The TSB is for '14's as the issue was corrected going forward.

I've been wanting to change the battery on my car, not because there's anything wrong, I just dont like standard batteries. My Optima on my Subaru has never failed me, 8 years old, and heavy electrical loads. Agm on my e46 never failed either, although that was admittedly a massive battery for the car.

your battery is fine....Get the Body ECU replaced and it SHOULD correct your Parasitic Draw issue

I just bought a 14 Is350 F sport and the very next day i drove it off the lot the battery died LOL i just thought it was sitting on the lot for awhile. They changed it for free but reading this has me thinking.

Do you have a part number for the replacement "body ecu" or any literature on the topic?

Is there another TSB that addresses the 14 issues as a "Body ECU"? I had the gateway ECU replaced. However, i use a battery tender now.

The TSB is for the Gateway ECU, I think that's what rL-gT was referring to when he said Body ECU.

My 08 ISF went thru batteries like most people go thru socks and underwear. Never could figure it out, but oddly my 17 IS350 really struggles to start (like a low battery) on days when it is hot (90+) and humid. Press the button and it cranks 3-4x longer than one would expect on a brand new car. In the mornings and when its cooled down however, instant.

That's strange, I have a 2014 FSport, and I have only had to replace the battery once, and it was the dealership who caught it. They said my battery was losing power, and replaced it under warranty. It was only about 2 years old too. I live in AZ, and the summer heat here is brutal on batteries. I drove my car of the lot brand new, and am only on the 2nd battery. 4 1/2 years old.

And I think to clarify, it didn't effect all 2014's...the vehicle had to have certain options to be equipped with the particular Gateway ECU.
