Default Sunglasses holder

So, ever since I bought the car, I've struggled with where to put my sunglasses. I've been putting them in the glove box but it's a bit awkward when you have passengers. So, I found this after looking through every listing on Ebay and Amazon, and trying to modify different ones that some have said worked, I found this.

First impressions, looks fairly good, fits perfectly, although the clips under it don't look like the factory ones it looks good enough that it could pass as factory. Super easy install. I don't notice it when driving. Its very smooth operation, much like the factory handle.

Just wish that it didn't have that little silver decorative strip

Here's the link if anyone is interested

I'd say it's better than nothing. How did you install it over the handle?

Any chance you could take a pic with the sunglasses holder open? And also with glasses in them for reference? Trying to figure out if my Oakleys would fit in there, or if this is better suited for more flat sunglasses. TIA!

Cant say for sure, easiest way is just for you to take out your old handle and measure. Really easy to do, the covers just pop off, and the handle comes right out

This replaces the handle. Uses the same holes. Admittedly it's not the best looking but i personally dont like having anything clipped to the visor so those are not options for me.

Was thinking the same, what a waste of space for SOS button I don't know anyone who has subscription for it.

I couldn't agree more. I dont even have the SOS button on my car. Had thought about hacking it up to see if I can make something fit but I didnt particularly want to replace that if it didnt go right.

everything came in the kit. I used the included bent screwdriver to pry off the 2 large covers on the handle. There's little indents on the sides of the covers. Work it out slowly going a bit on one side, the other of that tab. Itll come out just takes a bit of time. Just give it a tug and itll come off. For the metal tabs still in the car, I used a couple of small flathead screwdrivers to push down the tabs and pull it out. Fits right in after the metal clips are out

I took the metal tabs out but the left side is too loose. Doesn’t snap in place. There are also 2 extra pieces that came with the kit. Are these tabs to replace the bigger tabs? How do I use these pieces?

It should have come with 2 plastic pieces that go into the center of each hole. Looks like that when its all installed

Did you install it in a 3IS? If so, can you please post the exact item you ordered? I am sick of keeping my glasses in the center console. Thanks in Advance.
