Has anyone tried sourcing mudflaps for is350? Rally armour makes a generic mudflap template but I'm not sure if that works for the is 350 without too many modifications
I got them on my ultra white is350 f sport. They look pretty good. Super easy to install. I didn't even bother painting them because the color works with the rear diffuser and the front bumper vents (fairly well).
I got them too. They fit really nice....the hardware that's included is hit or miss with our cars though.....I was able to find leftover fasteners that worked better (from years of tinkering on Hondas, Toyotas Nissans and Bimmers) in my junk box.
As indicated above, it goes really well with Ultra White.
Excuse the ride height....I just put the car back on the ground, and it's sitting like an inch higher than its normal height.
Also have them installed. Front two were a decent fit, while the rear would not line up with the side panel leaving a tiny gap. Rear flaps are only held on by two screws, unless you are willing to drill another hole for the third screw (as stated in the instructions).
I avoided drilling through the inside bumper lip and made a small aluminum bracket which pushes the flap flush with the panel. Instead I drilled a small hole in the wheel well and secured it with a screw and nut from behind. Also placed carbon fiber vinyl underneath all flaps to protect the paint.
This may seem like a stupid question, I’ve got to ask. Having the mud flaps installed, does it keep the noise down from the water hitting the rocker panels when driving the rain?

Not sure....
Living in San Diego, where it rains like a week out of the year, I have not had the opportunity to hear the water on the rockers. (Besides only having the IS for two weeks)
My main decision factor in getting mudflaps is because the tires slung all the armor all-like goo that the dealership put on the tires all over the side of the car.
I figured if it did that, it would also sling little rocks and dirt on the sides too. I hate driving a dirty car.
Also, if the mudflaps work like I think they are going to, I can take off the paint protection film off of the back doors. I hate them. I read a thread here talking about them, and now I can't unsee them.
I think i just bought the last set. Mudflaps are good against small rocks that get thrown from the tires as well as dirt. You'd be surprised how much this protects your paint.
I just tried installing these, i'm having a hard time with the rear. what did you guys use to clip them on? the stock clips don't work except the bottom one.
