Default Exhaust Help

I can’t decide between the Apexi N1 Quad tip axleback exhaust and the Tanabe Medallion Quad Tip axleback exhaust what do you guys and girls think?

I don’t plan on changing the midpipe though.

I have the apexi exhaust. The quad tips pairs well with the '17+ rear diffuser and the sound is just a bonus. It does however have drone between 1.5-2k RPMs and especially when going uphill. I can't really speak for the Tanabe but I believe it would be quieter due to the bigger mufflers, yet maintaining a similar look as both are quad tips

This is the truth. I told myself the only mod I planned to do was the F-Sport axle a few months back. Fast forward to today- I ordered the Apexi mid-pipe yesterday

I refuse because there’s a video of a 200t with the Apexi catback and I didn’t like the sound haha. I’m hoping changing just the axleback will not change the sound too much it’s too easy for a 4 Cyl Turbo to sound ricey so I’m trying to be careful.

Do you have the 350? Or the 4 Cyl Turbo? Also did you do the catback or just axleback?

Tanabe makes a quad tip exhaust for the 17+ IS350? Or were you planning to buy the axle back that's made for the RC350?

i recall a member saying the apexi axle back was unusually loud on its own.

my invidia axle back was dissaponting at first, but it got louder in approximately 6 weeks. when i’m cruising, the drone is minimal and drowned out by my sub. you probably wouldnt notice i had an exhaust until i stepped on it. i like having the option on being low key.

i saw a member on the street cruising with a full cat back. it’s just asking for a vi, even at cruising speeds, it’s very noisey.

According to Apexi’s website, the noise with just the axleback is 81.6 dB.
