IS300 vs IS350 - 300 Feels nicer to drive
I took my 2016 IS350 for servicing a few months back, only 12000km so it's in beautiful condition. Lexus gave me a 2017 IS300 loaner and the feel is like night and day.
The IS300 feels much more compliant over bumps, it's quieter and steering is light and effortless. Overall it feels so solid and comfortable to drive.
It could just be me or the tires i'm guessing. My tires are the OEM Dunlop SP SPort Maxx 050. Tread still good.
Anyone have a similar experience?

The 2017+ introduced a few suspension improvements over the pre-2016 models.

I thought the 2016 IS350 F sport has AVS, which is what i own. The difference over bumps in the 2017 is noticable to the point where i feel confident driving over poor roads without any jarring sensation.

A quick search of the internet.
2017 Lexus IS: revised suspension and steering
The dynamic performance of IS has been improved through revisions to the front and rear suspension and steering. As a result of these measures, all models demonstrate better ride quality, body control, rear-wheel traction and straight-line stability, as well as better steering response and feedback. The front double wishbone suspension (above) has a new, more rigid, forged aluminum lower arm assembly together with more rigid bushing – changes that bring no weight penalty and contribute to better steering response at cruising speeds. Changes have been made to the spring and damper settings to improve control and yaw response, and the power steering’s ECU settings have been revised in order to achieve better communication with the driver.
At the opposite end of the car, the rear multi-link suspension has also gained new bushes, anti-roll bar, shock absorber components and revised damper settings.

It's basically the GS suspension. The cars don't weigh drastically different so makes sense to combine the parts.
I posted some part and part # changes in another thread. Damper rates were also changed. The downside is though the facelift gained 90 lbs. Overall though I think i'd appreciate the new suspension.
