Default LED Turn Signal

Quick question, i'm in the process of installing resistors for hyper flash and noticed there's 3 wires on the front turn signals. Anyone know which wires to t-tap into to install the resistor? The rear only had 2 wires.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

i've read this thread before but thank you for the effort, i read it again just in case, it mentions nothing about the front turn signal wiring.

Are the wires not the same on the front for the turn signals? Idk I didn’t have to install resistors on my 18’ just plugged the LED bulbs in on all 4 corners and no hyperblink. E46CT should be able to help you out though.

lucky you

unfortunately that's not the case with mine, i have a 2016 is300 and i'm getting hyperblink with no resistors, and i've also tried only 2 resistors on the back. the last option is resistors on each corner. the front signals have 3 wires, 2 greens and 1 black. the rears only had 2 wires...hence my original question. i just need to know which wires to tap for the front ones

What color stripes do the green wires have?

None, just two green wires and a black one

Wow that’s pretty weird. On my G37S, the fronts had 2 green wires as well but they had a colored stripe on them to differentiate. That’s how I was able figure out which green wire to splice. Hmmm might have to do trial and error. Worst case scenario just wrap the wire in electrical tape if you spliced into the wrong one. Or you can wait and see if someone else chimes in, but idk how you are supposed to know if they are both solid green.

Yeah I can’t find anything on it. I don’t really wanna experiment since there’s not much room to work on in there.

I still need help on which wires to splice in the front 😩

just so you guys can see what I did in the back, I’m a stickler for wiring though.

these solderless connectors are heaven sent btw.

i spliced the black and green wire from the rear turn signal, fed the wires thru the rubber grommet and connected to the resistor. From there I just cleaned it up with zip ties and electrical tape. I mounted the resistor on the chassis with 3m tape.

Mounted

Here’s the finished product.

I tried doubling up on the resistor too to see if that would compensate for the front but that didn’t work. I left the halogen bulbs up front for now to avoid hyper blink.

If someone familiar enough with the front signal wiring please pm me or post. I appreciate it!

You sure the wires you tied into are actually for the turn signal? If you put the load resistor on the turn signal wires the flasher circuit won't know the difference between it and the incandescent light bulb. The front has 3 wires because the bulb is 2-mode, running light and turn.

I’m hoping so? There’s only two wires that feed to the turn signal in the rear and they are thicker than the other 3 that goes to the tail light.

i have LEDs now on the rear and with the resistor they are not hyper blinking. The moment I put an led up front they go hyper. Makes no sense since im using a 50w 6ohm resistor.

here’s a better picture of the wires I spliced in the rear, if they are incorrect please let me know.
