Hello I have a 2016 IS200t and the color of my F sport rims is grey, it is similar to the Nebula grey color. However when I see other F sport IS on the road/parked I see that some have Silverish F sport rims, similar to the Atomic silver color. Because of slight OCD I went to the dealership to check out some IS to see why are there different color F sport rims. I saw that the 2015 IS250 had the Silver rims. To show that I am not color blind and not seeing things I took two pictures of the rims. My conclusion is 2014-15 had silver rims and 2016 and up had grey rims but I am not entirely sure. After hard research, there is nothing online that shows that there are 2 different F sport rim colors. Does anyone know why?
Yea it could be just a lighting thing that makes the rims look different color. But when I was at the dealership I made sure to really compare the rims in the same lighting and it really did look like they were different color. I think your rim color looks like mines which makes sense cause I believer 2016+ think got a darker shade. I think thats maybe because Lexus thought darker rims would hide brake dust better.

I actually have noticed the difference too. Some wheels seem to be closer to silver and some seem to be closer to a dark gray. Mine are dark grayish and I like them better like that. I don’t think it’s our imagination lol.
I think the 2016+ models have a gunmetal, darker shade to the rims and the models previous to those had more of a silver look. I have a black 2018 IS350 F-Sport and the OEM rims have a gunmetal look - definitely not silver.
I know that Lexus also has the 5 spoke OEM rims too on F-Sports (link here). I've seen them on several F-Sports (mainly 300s) at the dealership when I did a test drive. Those were silver.

Gunmetal is the color I was looking for lol. Yes mine are definitely gunmetal and not silver. Even with them being gunmetal, there’s no hiding the brake dust; thus, why I switched to Akebono’s after just 3,500 miles on the car.

Haha... just keep the dust on so you'll eventually end up with black rims lol
Cool now I can lower my OCD since I know other people see the same thing ,
This is also great to know cause If for some reason you have to buy a new rim , you will be aware that there is actually 2 oem colors out there.
I also believe the 1E3 paint is the silverish color because i have used it on my rim and noticed it was not the perfect color as other people was said it was, now it really makes sense
I also like the gunmetal way better then the silver

Welp bought the 1E3 for touchup, and have the darker rims.
