Default No Time Display on Central Screen?

So I just noticed in my 2018 IS 300 that there is no way to digitally display the time on the main screen, only in the little dial directly behind the steering wheel. I know there is the analog clock directly below the screen, but is there a way to digitally display the time on the screen too? Is this a setting I am maybe missing in the manual? I have lazy passengers who can’t see the time behind the steering wheel and don’t want to bother reading the analog display

No, you're right - I'm pretty sure the main center screen does not display the time... only places in the IS where time is displayed is in the F-Sport cluster speedo and that analog clock under the main center screen.

At least you get a digital clock in the instrument panel on the F Sport. For some strange reason it's omitted on the Canadian version, so I have to rely on the analog clock.

You’re kidding!!! As nice as the clock looks, it’s pretty impractical of Lexus not to have squeezed it in somewhere on the main display.

Exactly! No clue why they would exclude something like that seeing as though it's digital so there would be no cost implication. Ugh lol

Doesn’t seem right! It’s the only thing I don’t absolutely love about the car.

Pretty sure the US vehicles get a digital clock in the instrument panel (on the left side).

See above the temperature.

We do have a digital clock on the F Sport instrument gauge cluster. Also my Infiniti doesn’t have ANY digital display of time just the analog clock in the middle of the dash and that’s it. It’s pretty annoying.

So strange that they removed it for the Canadian IS...

Yeah that is pretty weird really no reason not to include it.

What's strange is that some pictures I see of US vehicles for sale DON'T have the digital time even in the F Sport gauges (see this example of an IS for sale in Florida). This is how mine looks:
