4x4 now offers a wireless phone charging pad?? Did anyone here get this yet?

Google Maps/Waze will use the speaker that comes with the unit. If you set the volume right and mount it in the dash, it won't sound too obviously aftermarket.

That’s weird that it comes with an external speaker. Idk why they wouldn’t keep it so that the sound came through the OEM speakers like my unit from 4x4Shop does. I honestly wouldn’t have been happy about having to mount an external speaker.

Yeah I get what you mean.

it’s been a while since I’ve driven but I haven’t used Google Maps in a while and Waze but I’m pretty sure the audio comes from the speaker.

I know Sygic does.

I've just got exactly the same unit from aliexpress - link.

Works as expected, it has a little different color than original, but not too drastic. Check it out:

Just ordered an infotainment system [android].

The supplier contacted me today informing me that the unit is actually android 7 and NOT android 9.

Can ANYONE confirm that they actually have a true android 9 unit? Or do these units simply not exist, and I should settle with 7.?

My seller says it's 9 but when I do the check CPU z it says 7.1
I'm pretty sure everyone has the same operating system

It's 7. My seller admitted that a 9 does not exist.

Yeah vendor confirmed its version 7 and not 9 as advertised. I haven't had any issues with version 7 in any case, although I am mostly on CarPlay and rarely use the Android UI anymore.

Yeah factory speaker. My unit didn't come with an external speaker, but it seems like others did.

The unit outputs using the car AUX or A/V. However, for CarPlay, you can switch your phone output to Bluetooth or USB.

Most of the users experience is that using AUX or A/V does not give good sound.

The vendor I bought from was NaviHua on Aliexpress

Would be nice if someone create something like this for the Navi version, snap off the palm rest and slap something like this on, would definitely buy.
