I have installed an additional touchpad. It works just like a connected mouse.
You can increase the cursor in the Android settings.
ergo touchpad
Specifications:

Width: 49.00 mm (1.930 inches)
Thickness without foam pad 6.5 mm (1/4 inches)
Comes with a 6-ft. USB cable.
I bought a second lexus track pad module on ebay, and swapped out the factory touch pad for the ergo pad. I figured that if I was not using any functionality on the factory side, there's no use in having two control methods. If I ever need to adjust anything on the factory system it only takes around 20 minutes to swap back.
Anyone willing to plug in a usb mouse to see it works in Carplay? I don't want to take off my trims just to test it since I went back to OEM. I wish there was a way to power up Android unit with external supply?
Anyone know how to fix the overheating issues of the 4x4shop unit? Everytime I run waze or Google maps with a destination my unit keeps shutting off or restarting.
Wait i'm having troubles using bluetooth when i have wired carplay on. It automatically goes to Aux/AV which, as you said, has a much inferior sound quality. Is there a way to run anroid auto (wired carplay) and switch audio to bluetooth for my spotify?
I had to use an android phone for about a week when I needed to send in my iPhone to Apple for a recall repair. I messed with Android Auto some, and could not figure out a way for Android Auto to send out audio via bluetooth rather than Aux/AV. After a bit of research, it doesn't look like Android Auto can switch audio sources like Apple CarPlay, unfortunately.
I got rid of my 16 F-sport (good riddance), if someone wants the 4x4shop headunit for the jog style with the android auto wired dongle, it's taking up space in my garage. Make me an offer. Only had it for about 6 months.

Anyone wondering whether external USB mouse works it actually does work in Carplay. I can even change pages and scrolling with mouse wheel. If you have ergonomic touch pad another member posted and put it between seat heater buttons it works very well.
I bought Carlinkit wireless dongle and CarPlay is working flawlessly just need to test more while driving. I set the Android unit mostly in AUX because I want to hear Waze audio and music sounds very decent after I adjusted EQ posted here. I think some people may not know this but you can have phone calls routed to Lexus Bluetooth system everytime you receive or place a phone call. I didn’t even use Shortcut app automation or anything you just have to set “Call Audio Routing” under Settimgs->Accessibly->Touch and scroll all the way down to change call audio routing. This way all your phone calls are always through Lexus Bluetooth system even when you’re in CarPlay and AUX. Maybe I’m late to the game but people might have already figured this out.
Now, I need to find out from 4X4 unit wire harness which wire is “reverse in” because I want to turn on backup camera on demand and add front camera to it with a switch. I doubt anyone knows which wire?

I think it’s on one of the t-harnesses from the bottom OEM receiver. Service manual says it’s coming out of K61-3 and that it’s a red wire on the OEM harness.

I was able to confirm pin#3 is reverse signal but this harness doesn’t connect to 10.25 Android headunit I need to find out which pin on Android harness triggers reverse signal so that screen switches to backup camera view.
Doesn’t look like it’s possible to switch front camera it’s trigger by Android hardware itself maybe SOC toggles backup camera when it gets a voltage. For now I’m just using DVR app that’s built in with the unit. It would be nice if Beatsonic switch works.
hey guys! i’ve had a great experience with my screen so far but i’m following up on the aux audio issues. since march, i’ve just been routing through bluetooth which hasn’t *really* been as issue but i recently moved to downtown atl and it would be nice to hear the navigation audio. i was playing around with it this afternoon and it sounds absolutely awful. did anyone ever figure out a fix for this without taking the unit out?
