Hey guys I ended up selling my IS f sport without navigation so **** control. I’m wondering if the exact same unit will work in an is 300 with f sport 2 navigation and touchpad control. Does the control scheme matter? So I’d be going from **** control to touchpad. Will the screen retain touchpad functionality?

Will not work. wiring harness connectors are completely different on Lexus radio side. I believe Android screen are all the same except harness.

Yes the screen is the same, you just have the get the other harness, 4x4 would probably sell it to you separately.
Anyone know how to fix overheating issue when I use Google maps or waze on my android side (not through autokit). I notice my screen heats up after some time with a route selected and then the screen would sometimes restart or even shut off completely.

If you bought from 4x4, you can get a software update that might help.
@rcJten installed a heat sink with a fan, I followed the same path and it works. No more overheating.
Anyone know how to get Lexus joystick controller working in the Headunit reload app andriod auto?
Joystick doesn’t work in Android Auto or CarPlay touchscreen only. I’m using this touchpad it works like a mouse once you plugged into USB port. Works great for me. It’s very small I put it in between seat heater buttons.

I have this one perfect size not too big or small it’s the one on the website upper left corner “most popular” one. They don’t have a size name I guess it’s the regular one. I’ll take a pic later of how it looks in my car.
Specifications:
Length: 65.00 mm (2.560 inches)
Width: 49.00 mm (1.930 inches)
Thickness without foam pad 6.5 mm (1/4 inches)
Comes with a 6-ft. USB cable.
Does anyone know/has anyone used a separate wifi adapter with their unit? I have the 1080p 4GB unit from Navihua/Alibaba and it only supports 2.4GHz wifi. It works almost flawlessly with Android Auto (headunit reloaded) wireless including the jogwheel in my NX, but i'd like to have 5GHz wifi for a faster more stable connection.
I know normal android supports plugging in wifi and bluetooth dongles but since these are heavily customised, does it work?
My unit is slightly different than the 4x4, but the USB host mode is disabled so plugging in most devices fails to work. I really wanted to get an external DAC working to eliminate the noise issues, and have better quality sound, but it never worked (even after attempting build.prop changes).

How it looks in my car.
Pardon the need to clean my interior. I went one step further and bought a second touchpad from a wrecked RC. Swapped the ergo pad into it. The only thing I use on the factory side now is the radio, which I can change stations using the steering switch. My favorite thing about the ero pad is the scroll when swiping up and down on the right side. I can swap out for the factory pad in 15 minutes if needed.
Anyone having using the wireless carplay dongle using the Autokit app and not being able to use the Circle **** to control anything and must use touch screen? The default wired in Phone link without the dongle I'm able to use the **** to control it.
Is this expected or is there some way to get htat working?
