@rcJten installed a heat sink with a fan, I followed the same path and it works. No more overheating.
ah i see. They told me to check the heat sink in the back but I have no idea how. Did you guys follow a YouTube video or is this something that a car shop would be better fit for?
Pardon the need to clean my interior. I went one step further and bought a second touchpad from a wrecked RC. Swapped the ergo pad into it. The only thing I use on the factory side now is the radio, which I can change stations using the steering switch. My favorite thing about the ero pad is the scroll when swiping up and down on the right side. I can swap out for the factory pad in 15 minutes if needed.
I have the old 2gb ram 32gb storage model. Does Ergo touch pad work on the old model? is it plug and play? do i need to configure to get it working?

I have the OG screen as well, and yes it's plug and play. It works for PC, Macs, Chromebooks and Tablets. But you don't even really need this trackpad per se, any USB mouse or touchpad will work, sometimes I use my wireless USB mouse from my work PC. The trackpad will literally work like a mouse with a pointer like a mouse on a computer for both the Android side and the Carplay dongle. I have a powered USB supply so I can plug in both the dongle and mouse to the unit at the same time.

There is no heat sink, unless they're calling the back panel a heat sink.
No youtube guide, just did it. I think rcjten posted some pics in my thread. It was fairly easy and basic. Depending on the fan you go with, trimming will be necessary. I went with different fans and didn't have to trim anything but my cooling isn't as good as his but still pretty damn good.

Hi excuse my inexperience, is this a possible swap with a joystick? My vehicle has a joystick but I would love a touch pad instead. I also would prefer the clean aesthetic.
I have the OG screen and I'm updated to 7.1 which I did about a year ago...
The last firmware I have is C50_A22LXS_L50LXS0126(190105).wy9 at about 84kb, I also have C50_A22LXS_L50LXS0133(190404).wy9 at 81kb which might have been the one that messed up my backup camera picture hence the quick update to 190105 (both I believe were the fix for the unit not shutting down completely when the car was turned off which only affected joystick and not **** versions of the car). Both these files are from Nov 2019. But yes that sounds like the right size, can you share if you have a newer version?

I did not figure how to use android auto. Maybe there is no android auto on this version ? This would be a scam from 4x4shop because android auto is mentionned on the commercial site. I will try with my wife's iphone, maybe it will work with apple. Maybe this is a cable/dongle problem ?

For the mirroring : i only got the app "easyconnect" and it looks like this is a very bad app (very slow on use)
I did not figure how to swich mode between androis OS and OEM OS with le joystick/button. Maybe because my car is european and not american/asian ?
Maybe i should update the firmware with a usb key in order to fix the android auto ?
