You should definitely buy Lexion there's a very long thread here. Lots of people are very happy with the unit and it's among the fastest boot time, it's a unique design apart from others due to separate box for processing unit so it doesn't overheat. I have an older unit from 4x4 it's a pain to use sometime and bugs are annoying I've been contemplating getting Lexion but not sure how long I will keep my car.

But I'd like to share my thoughts and experience with the 4x4 unit:
I have the 2nd gen unit from 4x4 and have zero issues with it, I love it, the only slightly annoying thing is the relatively slow boot time, other than that it's been perfect for me, whereas, like dojoman said, there was some bugs and issues with the first gen. I do not know anyone who has the 4x4 3rd gen yet.
But, at least for me, customer service has value to me, and I can't say enough good things about 4x4's customer service. I have contacted them on several occasions with odd tech questions and requesting firmware updates and they have always gave the best help possible. Then I accidently cracked the glass touch screen on my own fault (long story) and I contacted 4x4 and explained it was my fault. My unit is no longer under warranty but they are sending me a new screen replacement for super cheap. So I love 4x4 for their customer service.
The lexicon supplier has poor communication and pretty much zero communication after you purchase the unit, so it's just a factor to consider. And it takes a month+ to receive if you can even get him to respond to messages.
In my eyes, the two best options are the 4x4 unit with stellar customer service, or Lexicon with basically no customer service but a little bit of a better product.

Something like this?
Binarytek: https://aliexpress.com/store/910358257?
It's just a pity that it's not a FHD screen and doesn't have 4G and bluetooth built in.
It would be perfect.

I'm pretty sure I just found the Lexicon unit.
The PCB inside the host box is exactly the same, UI is the same, same specs (including the 1080P clickbait claim and it actually being native 720p and upscaling) and even using the same photographs in the Lexicon thread

I will probably wait for the next generation:
Snapdragon 662 and 6GB RAM (I have 2gen) and real Android 11 - API30
Maybe 2022

Not from this seller. This is just an example.
Lexus / BMW / Audi / Mercedes should have a similar hardware for 10.25" screen.

I really want to get one of these screens. Been leaning towards Lexicon, but I'm waiting for the rumored 3rd gen 4x4 to compare it to the Lexicon unit. Will probably swap the joystick for the ergo touchpad like RocketG35 and whoismiked.

I think it's actually cheaper to buy from Lexion directly, I added to cart somehow they don't charge sales tax to CA not sure about other states but Aliexpress charges tax to US now.

Separate box looks just like Lexion let me check this out but price isn't that much cheaper. Lexion is actually made by a company called Carsyso, Lexion is just a seller. I've contacted Carsyso they don't sell on Aliexpress and they told me to buy from Lexion it's their distributor. This one could be fake there are lots of small Chinese companies copying each other.
Same contact:
