Any chance you can run the cable out of the center console or along a gap on the passenger side of the center condole?
Center console definitely won’t happen unless you get an extender cable, as for somewhere near the dash you can try.

I bought a 6ft extension cable on Amazon and am going to try an run it to the center console, I don't see any room where I can slide it in but I'll try to find somewhere when I have it torn apart. Hopefully I'll have the unit by next week, haven't received my shipping notification yet.

There is a panel in the center console that will pop open. You can route the extension cable through the door and snap the door shut.

While you have the whole area opened up during the install, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to route the cable wherever you’d like since you got the extender cable.

You're right I dont own it, its just a opinion based on what I'm seeing. I was intrigued and I followed this thread. I'm glad to hear from someone who actually own it and I hope you like it. Sometimes at first we dont like something but things can grow on a person so who knows maybe in the future I will consider this unit. I appreciate you taking the time to post the steps though. You're posts help folks like me gain a better understanding.

do you have screen shots of the default mode? If I end up getting this in the future, I have you to thank. 😄

Default mode is just the Lexus interface. You can instantly switch back between the “android” mode and the OEM Lexus interface as if it was stock but the whole big screen is filled in.

Spoke to Fred yesterday. Pulled the trigger and bought it. Plus free CarPlay with their Xmas promo. Sounds like most if not all bugs have been worked out plus Fred really supports his product. I have a 16 Is350 with Nav (jog controller)

Hopefully I'll get it before Xmas and then post a detailed review.

Merry Christmas!

From what I can tell only this part is different.

And I can confirm that is a harness connector for a navigation model stereo.

Please keep us updated

I'd prefer octa-core and 4gb of ram before I pull the trigger. Wait for revision hardware specs

Better software. 6.0 has to many security issues that are never going to be patched. But I have the site book marked and will be checking it for sure.

I noticed your startup interface looks different then the others that are posted on here. I see an FM icon. Does the android screen have its own FM screen and if so does the control on radio and streeting wheel work with it, or does it just use the OEM FM.
