Had to cut all clips off underside of new plastic (they are all in wrong place for RHD when plastic turned around to fit uner meter hood) and stick down with foam tape, not ideal but better than nothing

So the external GPS is needed for Carplay or Android maps on Android to work? Or will the internal GPS work with those?

Unit has it's own GPS built in for apps.

Hi Droth, a couple questions sir:

1) To be clear by "built in" you mean the external GPS (square GPS you have to run to the dash that comes in the box with blue plugin), or the android screen has a GPS built in (Internal) in which case the external GPS is not needed?
2) How slow is the tablet/is it a worthwhile experience in your opinion?

I have the unit with Jog and am planning on installing it this weekend.

1 by built ii I mean the one with the external antenna with blue plug in.
2 litlle laggy. It does give features unavailable from factory (wifi, apps etc) It is expensive but there's not exactly a long list of alternatives. Integration and operation isn't seemless as with all android head unit's I've had on various vehicles. Haven't had the time to have a decent play with unit yet

that makes sense. It probably runs as 2 seperate units so if the main headunit is off only the android screen will function without any of the standard options (just a guess). Could anyone confirm this?

Hmmm I haven’t tried this, nor thought of it. I don’t think I would ever have one off and not the other though.

10.25 Inch Display Android Car Radio GPS Navigation Head Unit from 4x4Shop.ca-photo686.jpg

Just opened mine up. (Christmas present from my awesome wife) 16 IS350 Jog style.

So, any paper instructions of any type? Mine came with everything shown. The videos on the website (4x4shop.ca) for the Lexus don't have any actual install vids. I can figure it out, just nice to have a little back up if needed.

Just adding I've installed the Beatsonic DVD bypass and iPhone mirror kit so opening up the car isn't an issue. It's removing the factory screen that's got me a little freaked lol

Removing the screen is the easiest part believe it or not lol. Just know that you don’t reuse the bracket on the OEM screen, but you do remove the 4 little clips on the back of the oem screen and put them on the new screen, that keeps it in place. 👍🏽

Thanks for the reply man ?

Now I'm going to take a guess and assume the black plug is no longer used.

Now does that blue plug go into the back of the screen or does it plug into the cable?
