I tried this app and unfortunately it doesn't toggle the hotspot for me. I'm running Android 9 on my cellphone. Thanks for the suggestion tho.

I previously used Hot Spot Starter from the google play store but ever since the latest android software it doesn't work anymore.

I am using the latest stock Android (9.0) version on a Pixel 3, again not rooted

Has anyone tried flashing a different android rom on this unit? I did see a few posts back someone had tried a different launcher. I'm running the 7.1 that the unit came with and it's unbearably sluggish.

I've been following this thread for long long time and have find this thread to be a very interesting read and to see all the good updates you guys made to make this unit work. I am close to placing an order for the 7.1 android version thru Aliexpress, considering we have no formal supplier here in the Netherlands, or Europe.
It seems the back of the unit does differ from the one 4x4 is offering. However, it does run on 7.1 Android, so will give it a try and hope all will work out. Keeping my fingers crossed.

i just spoke to them and they ship to europe. (im in italy). they declare it for 250 with customs. its so much safer as with after-sales support

Make sure they offer after-sales support.. You never know when you’d need it..
My unit came with 7.1 software but took a couple updates before it became stable the way it is today..

Hi, was wanting to know if it was possible to install the 2018-2019 lexus nx OEM screen into a 2016 mondel. If so please send me a like to the retrofit display. If not, then darn. I really did not want one with the android interface that may break etc.

No I got it from 4x4shop.. The problem with Aliexpress is that I found several units on sale that fits the Lexus IS and looked virtually the same on the pictures and I had no idea which supplier to trust or what's the difference between the offered units.. So I though it's safer to go with 4x4shop even if it's a little bit more expensive..
