10.25 Inch Display Android Car Radio GPS Navigation Head Unit from 4x4Shop.ca

Yup had one in my Altima. There are modded Pandora, Spotify apks you can download too - never get an ad and get unlimited skips. If you know how to root too, Viper4Android is a beast to enhance your sound. When i have some money and can find a reputable place to install it, i'm definitely installing it in my Lexus.

Description: "Android 9.0 support split screen display" http://aliexpress.com/item/4000576567551.html
It's the NX version - but it's probably the same device.
Do you have this features? Do you know how it works?

First post here.
Also first Lexus, IS300H 2013/2014 Luxery model without memory seats.
Navigation with remote touch.
I have been looking at a lot of messages and derived to the following extract
""4x4shop.ca
navirider https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000...48e22b76pcRwCY pink rear
dvdgpsnav https://www.dvdgpsnav.com/blog/lexus...-is300h-is350/
berdacarparts https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000...9-1372006f5b22
There are more but running 7.1 or no explicit split screen mention like Navihua and Yzg.
The Navihua https://www.alibaba.com/product-deta...46ab3bc2DiXdz2 unit seems to be installed on page 68 and confirms no dual screen
AliExpress is having a 10th anniversary and giving discounts soon!
This is what I think I know about the various system functions:
- 10.25 inch 1280*480. Some with 1920*720
- Partly running on Android 9
- Split screen
- 4GB*32GB. Some with 4GB*64GB
- USB Apple Carplay support (wired or wireless)
- Apple Carplay sound through Lexus Aux system
- Apple Carplay navigation sound through Lexus Aux system
- USB Dashcam support
- USB SIM Dongle support
- Wifi support
- The systems come with 1 USB port. Some with 2
- Original rear cam and parking sensors support
- Lexus functions unaltered (but on a larger screen)
- Lexus functions sound through Lexus system
- Remote touch (premium Navigation) and steering wheel support for all Lexus functions
- Touchscreen for Android functions
- DAB+ and analog Radio support
- Radio sound through Lexus Aux system
- Aux for some Android functions
- Separate mic and speaker of average quality for navigation and phone
- external gsm unit
- There is a mute function on the Android system
- Android control with Lexus wheel or jog (remote touch) for some functions
- Sound quality seems to be an issue (for some?)
This is what I think I know about the system installation:
- Switch 3 connectors on the back of the Lexus unit
- Switch blue lvds cable on the back of the Lexus unit
- Route the new lvds and the new loom tot the top of the dash
- Connect everything tot he back of the screen.
These questions come to mind:
- Will any usb (dash)cam work if there is more than one USB port?
- Do you need extra software to enable the dashcam
- Do you need to remove tho original lvds and loom to route the new cables behind the dash?
- Does the radio sound mute when voice nav speaks
- Does the radio sound mute what het Lexus phone speaks
- Boot time seems to be long
Can the users confirm the features by company?
My use prbably willbe limited to 3 things:
- larger and better Lexus screen
- Apple Carplay
- Google maps
Included the manual from navirider.
I seem to get one pdf only?
Hope to hear you suggestions.
Regards, Armand

I have this unit and have factory nav (which will never be used again because the nav options with this unit (apple maps, google maps, waze, ect) are FAR superior to OEM nav) and have the joystick.

Have you had any problems with it? I'm thinking about getting one as well, and how easy is the installation?

The installation was easy for me, but I am experienced with installing A/V equipment, but honestly even without prior experience I probably still could have done it. The install is not "hard" but it is very time consuming due to how much of the interior has to be dismantled to in order to install it.
In my build thread some guys were asking questions about my unit and the installation so I have some more info, pics, and tips posted in there if you feel like checking that out, starting the discussion with this post:

But most of the best info is on post # 27

Yes, I have the unit from 4x4
What I meant by post #27 was the 27th post in my build thread (post #'s are at the top right of each post in threads) had some tips and tricks on the installation of the unit, link: HERE
I saw the post you made above and the questions you had but unfortunately the questions you listed are ones that I was not good to answer as they were mostly based around two things, hooking a dash cam to the unit and if the unit mutes during navigation voice and phone calls.
I was not able to answer those questions because I do not have my dash cam hooked into my andriod unit (Unless this is a just a language barrier and you mean the OEM reverse backup camera, in which case yes, there is a a separate line input for the reverse camera, it is not usb, but if you do mean aftermarket dash cam, I can't answer as I have never tried hooking my dash cam to the unit) but I can tell you the unit I have only has 1 usb output (which i use for the apple car play dongle).
Also, I also do not use my andriod unit for anything audio. I use it for everything except audio. I route all my music and phone calls through the OEM stereo via bluetooth, USB, or AUX in center console, not the andriod unit, so I am unsure if music mutes/lowers during nav voice ( I use navigation in the andriod unit but I personally have never used navigation voices and have it disabled as it is distracting to me, the GPS visuals is all I have ever used) and phone calls (they do mute the music when going through OEM like I have mine) but I am willing to bet that the answer to both of those questions are yes if you do choose to route audio through the andriod unit.
You also asked about the boot time, and yes the boot time is slightly long, about 45 seconds to a minute it seems. This doesn't bother me much as I usually remote start my car on my way out to it.
If you have any other questions, I'll do my best to help.

Thanks whoismiked.
Your assumption on the camera is correct.
4x4shop unit with apple carplay and dual usb is $870
seemingly good support
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000580273571.html unit with apple carplay and dual usb is $750
unknown support. If it works all good. if not??
need some thought on it.
thanks again.

PS: This website is really not happy with my imac safari browser. it keeps old pages and deos not show everything?
dutch taxes are just above 25%. this surely does not come cheap.

It also concerns me that in the link you provided with aliexpress there is conflicting statements, like in one place is says: "10.25 inch screen resolution :1280*480 resolution" but in other places on that page it says 720. Those inconsistent descriptions add worry to my purchase. I also do not see anywhere it states it has 2 usb outputs but I might have missed it.
Maybe if there is someone else here who did order a newer unit from a different source can comment on their experience.

There are many things that could cause a power drain, but I do not think any version of this screen would cause that, because all versions of this screen hook into the stock stereo connection, which the power to it is not on while the car is off. As mentioned could be many other causes, but I do have a guess. Some people with a unit like this use one of those OBD bluetooth adapters so they can run Torque and/or another info/diagnostic app on their unit (I do), but most of the cheap OBD dongles do not shut off and will drain the battery. There are pricer OBD dongles that supposedly cut power after a certain amount of time, but I can't comment as I have a semi cheap one and I just unplug it anytime I'm not using it.
