2016 Lexus IS200t Gas Mileage Issues
Sup everyone!
I wanted to reach out to anyone who possibly knows what is going on with my fuel mileage? I recently saw a drop in my MPG about 3 months ago and have been doing a lot of things to see and try to fix the issue. I do have an Injen Air Intake, BMS Stage 1 tune, Invidia Mid-pipe and axle-back as well as some bodykit additions to the exterior of the vehicle. I noticed the drop in MPG whenever I was having boost regulator issues that I already had resolved from the dealership and ended up taking off my fuel catch can that I possibly thought was helping the situation. The only thing I know what to do know if it isn't something with the internals is to install new O2 sensor and spark plugs but other than that I am lost. Not even sure if that is the issue. Car only has 30k miles on it so am seeking any additional help from you guys!
Best regards,
ModTrav

IS200t eats enormous amounts of fuel STOCK when driven enthusiastically particularly on the street. You crank up the boost as you did w/ BMS and you'll multiply that. With your mods you should be getting about 15 mpg on the street driven reasonably. Driven hard, maybe around 12-13. Average around 16 if you do 50/50 with highway. my car stock does about 19 mpg w/ mixed driving. (measured)
This car you have to try HARD to get 22-23 mpg average mixed driving. Not a very thrifty engine. you have to pay to play.
You can start by telling your MPG indicated (or measured)

I will never get anything above what I stated lol that's highway on cruise control on flat straight roads with very little steering input.

I’m still getting about 26 mpg avg mixed driving even with the BMS. If I’m on the highway most the time I can usually hit 30 mpg. Idk if it’s because my car only has 5,000 miles or what. I don’t go WOT unless someone is pissing me off on the roads or because I need to merge into traffic etc. Regardless, if I was getting anything less than 24 mpg I’d be pretty annoyed lol.
Ditto. I am getting about 27 mpg in mixed driving.
