Welcome and congrats.

I'd recommend introducing yourself over here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...post-here.html

There are sub-forums dedicated to specific areas of modding in the 3IS forum, such as Suspension and Brakes. Tons of good info in there.

Welcome! What kind of modifications are you interested in? Aesthetic (wheels, spoilers, splitters, etc.), handling/suspension, or power/drivetrain?

Congratulations! I also have a UW with red interior.

If you’re only into aesthetics only for now, I would say plastidipping the emblems, some trims and wheels. Won’t cost you much when DIY.

Maybe some splitters or lips (roads sucks in NYC so I went with splitters only) in the future, carbon fiber parts, exhaust and wheel spacers if you would like.

Here are a few pics:

Sadly my car is still bone stock lol, looking forward to RR racing tune for 18' models

Welcome to the forums! If you want to do it right the first time. My recommendation is to set a complete project budget, then see what parts and brands you can afford.

- First I would recommend Coil-Overs or Air Suspension.
- Second maybe a lip kit. Most of them are coming from Japan, but there are others depending on your liking.
- Third you may look into larger wheels like F19x9 / R19x10.

^Less is more x2. Start with a license plate relocation kit from Grimmspeed (it will say only for up to 2016, but it fits),. Looks better with the plate if your state requires a front plate. You can also change the interior dome lights to LED for a more premium look. For performance mods it is highly advisable to drive the car how you intend to use it first. Don't make changes just to make them. This was the advice given to me by professional drivers and SCCA champions alike. Change things only that you want to improve. (Example, different tires for more grip or less noise).

Different tires +1! If you are going to do anything performance-related, probably want to do this most of all. The car has a lot of potential that the stock tires just don't do justice.

I just put on the BFGoodrich G-Force Comp-2 A/S. Haven't driven them in the snow, but in the few weeks I have had them I can say they have far better dry performance than stock Bridgestones, and supposedly class-leading dry performance. Not too pricey either.

Don't go too crazy w/ tires price wise. You'll need to replace the fronts at 15k miles. The edge of the tire inside will be worn nearly to the metal and the rest of the tire will have plenty of life. Go w/ Firestone Firehawk Indy 500. Nearly class leading performance at walmart prices!

For whatever it's worth, my fronts lasted 22,000 miles. I've heard of some members getting more.

But yeah that's partly why I went with the BFG tires. Cheaper than the top-tier brands like Michelin, but still earns really positive review scores on Tire Rack, etc. Even my dealership service advisor recommended I just get the cheapest set of tires that I am comfortable with, since they will soon get worn out in the fronts.
