Anti-Glare Nav Screen Replacement

I've had fitted screen protectors on my nav screen since i own the car new. when it gets dirty, I just wipe it with cloth, and when it gets scratched up over time, I just peal it off and put a new piece on. Much cheaper than replacing screens and no extra care required for cleaning. Just remember, ALL plastic surfaces will scratch over time no matter how careful you are.

I am in the middle of trying to get my outer screen replaced. I’m out of warranty, so I am seeking Assistance from Lexus Corp. My 2015 IS350 is currently sitting at the dealership waiting on a special case specialist to approve or deny my assistance.
Anyone have ave any extra ammo/info I can use if I get denied?

It's really at their discretion. The dealer wont mind doing it, but Lexus will be responsible for paying the dealer. In a perfect world, there would be no time limit on a defective part, but...

Any luck with the Lexus HQ? My case got rejected. I was 9 days out of warranty expiration.

I was denied. I know Lexus won’t get any of my business in the future. I am fully capable of doing my own maintenance and won’t be paying the inflated price for a oil change either.
I haven't done anything with the screen quite yet, but plan on removing the flaked layer and install a screen saver for an iPad or something similar.

Hi,
I have had this issue myself. Just removed the remaining coating and after fiddling with several screen protectors, just decided to go without. The reason for not putting any protectors was that they made the screen to actually glare/reflect more than stock with coating off. So I have chosen to stop hunting for those, because in the end, the top piece (the screen with coating) is in fact the protection for the nav/media screen beneath. So why would I chase for the `perfect` screen protector to protect my screen protector?! As it is now, there is minimum reflection and I can live with it - tested on sunny and cloudy days, night drives etc.
Also, I have had other issues, so in case you want to get it done safely and properly I suggest dismantling the unit from the start and use extra care on the left/right plastic trims of the screen when clearing the remaining coating. See my post from here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...l#post10502914 Others got lucky and managed to clean it easily, I know I did not have that luck. Had to use acetone and a lot of work done with the unit off the car.
