Can someone advise please what is the Consumption Mark as shown ?

that is your current average, which is the 17.1 km/L. You can also reset it with the button on the steering wheel.

Yes the "17.1" is your "current" average after reset. But the part you circle in RED is your ****REAL TIME*** fuel consumption... as in the moment you took the picture. If you press the gas pedal down you'll see it go down. It's basically a gauge to help you control your throttle input by keeping that indicator as far to the right as possible. Most modern cars have that. my CT has that. BMWs from the 80s have that but in analogue form.

To recap: The top (circled) indicator and lower "17.1" are not directly related. The 17.1 is your average since the last time the meter was reset using the steering wheel. The top indicator (the one you are asking about) is your fuel usage at any given moment.

If you floor it, the current indicator will drop all the way down to nothing. it's not that precise though cause the meter is way too small

The part that he circled red, is the average consumption mark. The current fuel consumption is shown in the horizontal bars on top of it.
