Default New Footrest

Boring footrest from Lexus.

Paper template of new footrest, paint pen, 5/32 drill bit, self taping screws from Lexus.

Line up the template and use the paint pen to mark the holes.

Holes marked.

Part number on back of new footrest.

Finished look.

Take out the floor mat. Pull off the plastic trim on the inside of the foot well. You'll need to pull out the carpet from the left side of the foot well. It's a little hard to get the inside piece past the parking brake, but it can be done. I used a 5/32 drill to make holes into the rubber footrest. You may want to go up a size, and use a 3/16 drill bit. The screws were kind of hard to get through the holes, a bigger hole would have worked better. Also don't bother with getting the screws from Lexus, they're over priced and not long enough go through the carpet, rubber footrest, and into the holes on the back of the new footrest. I went to Ace Hardware and bought new screws that are a little longer. This worked well. Also if you have a short handle philips screwdriver, use it. This definitely looks much better.

Lexus screw on the left, Ace Hardware on the right.

I bought the footrest from Earnhardt Lexus in Phoenix. I think the part number you see is for the 2015 Lexus GS350 FSport. The link above is about what I paid for mine. I did buy the brake pedal off ebay.

Pulling up the floor carpet is also needed, I think I failed to mention it in my post. I know it should go without saying, but just a reminder. It's easy to do, just pull off the plastic molding on the lower door frame.

Thanks bro, I've pulled it off a few times already. Should be easy.

The parking brake peddle I got off ebay. The footrest I bought from the Lexus dealership near my house. You can try the dealership by you. Have them check for part number 58190-24010 or 58196-24010.

Looks great evltwn! Can you give me the dimensions of the foot rest? I'm thinking about getting it for my NX.

Thanks, I ordered both off ebay in the US as they are cheaper than Canada *shocking*.

How did you install the parking break pedal, does the original rubber one clip off so you can clip on the metal one?
