Default Winter Tires

at the risk of being shamed........ do i really need to have staggered tires? i want to purchase a set of winter tires but i already own a set of steel rims for winter but they arent staggered.
they are however much smaller than what i figure should be used. the rims are all 17x6.5 which can only fit at most 215s. is anyone out there running on a square pattern other than staggered?
what sizes are you using? anything helps.

go easy on me here lol

Welcome to the forum Chris! And fellow Ontarian.

You certainly don't need to use staggered wheels for your winter setup.
Since you have a 250, you can even run 16 inch wheels for winter.
If you look in the Owners Manual, Specification section, you will see the sizes for 16 and 17 inch rims/tires.

While 6.5 is narrower than the 17 inch spec (or 16 inch spec) you'll find in the manual, you could run 215/50/17. Tire selection in winters for that size may be limited.
You could also downgrade to a set of 16 inch rims and tires for just a little more money than just the 17 inch tires alone.

I run staggered wheels but a square tire size. The wheels just happened to be staggered. It wont hurt anything
