Wow..interesting, then it seems that Lexus deliberately omitted AVS for the turbo IS in US market. Over here, we get AVS for the F-sport version and of course, the base version does not come with it.

I drove an FSport 200t as a loaner one time, and I might ruffle some feathers, but it did not feel anywhere near the same as my 350 FSport.. Obvious difference in power, but a big difference in suspension feel as well.
I think that's the main difference between the 300 AWD and the 350 as well that I noticed. It's possible the VGRS was also at play, however.

I guess I'm a total outlier here, because in my search I test drive 2 RWD 350 F-sports in addition to AWD ones. I honestly didn't feel much of a difference. I was expecting to feel a big difference, which was why I was holding out for a RWD one (they are much harder to find in my area). After driving two RWD ones, I felt I wasn't robbing myself of anything by getting an AWD one. I love my AWD, I can stomp the gas when its raining and the car just goes. No slipping at all. I'm wondering how it will do in the snow this winter.

I got to ride shottie in a 350 AWD on a few occasions. Shoulda drove it at least once, but from what I could tell sitting in the passenger seat, it felt really similar to the RWD. The person driving the 350 AWD was driving like a lunatic, lmfao. I still cannot believe I survived that ride.

I haven't gotten to drive or ride in a 300 AWD though.

Maybe it's the AVS that makes the difference. I honestly came away from that thinking the 350 RWD drove like a completely different car from what I have.

Most likely is the AVS. I drove a friend's 2015 350 F Sport RWD (when I was visiting the US), and the only difference I noticed was that you could get the back end to slide out. Strangely even with the 8 spd (vs my 6 spd), I felt that my 2018 350 F Sport AWD was a little more punchy. Doubt it's the extra 5 hp lol. Could be just that mine is brand new and his has about 70k miles. I don't know.

Another thing that makes me feel better I picked the AWD is the heated steering wheel option. Just a complete blunder by Lexus to exclude heated steering wheel from RWD models on the F-Sport.
