Painted F Sport wheels
#3
I painted BMW wheels using duplicolor silver and dupicolor clear and the clear yellowed severely after 6 months. it just kept getting yellower and yellower.
I would go with something called 2k clear. it has an activator (hardener) built in and it makes the clear very hard and durable. body shop grade. Extremely glossy too. like crazy glossy

Very brave..
Looks good in the photos, just hope it's a durable finish.
When changing wheel color, I would always recommend getting them professionally powder coated.

That wasn't the one I used. It was just duplicolor clear.
You may want to use adhesion promoter too next time around.
You have no choice but to enjoy it for now since all the work you've done. but just watch out for the yellowing. it got intense on my wheels. My car was parked outside a lot at the time so that didn't help anything.
but seriously the 2k clear I linked is REALLY good. you need a special respirator to use it though cause it's extremely toxic.
