so I can’t find any answer on here or anything I’ve searched through pages and pages...
my question is all you need to install the rcf shift **** is the **** itself and the shift boot right?? Thanks!!!
My main reason is I’ve seen that **** available with the Rioja red color and it bugs me so much not having that on my IS I know think design Japan offers it but that’s extremely difficult to get and expensive.

You don't really need a new boot. You'll need some kinda of flush cutters, and them skinny zipties.
You'll also need a 10mm socket, phillips head screwdriver, and possibly some panel tools. A towel if you need to prevent things from scratching other things
To remove the shifter, you'll need to push down on the base of the shifter, where the boot and the shifter meet. That will unclip the shifter and the plastic piece that's clipped to it and you can unscrew the shifter. Afterwards you'll need to take the surrounding trim off to where you can flip the boot inside out.
Once you have the boot inside out, you should see a ziptie that holds the boot to our shifter clip. Just cut the ziptie, and grab the RC base and ziptie it back up.
