Hello,

i have a new 2018 IS 300 that i bought in july. i live in chicago and it's getting cold here.

twice i experienced this weirdness.

1. start the car, let it warm up until the rpm drop.
2. driving maybe 1 mile and turn on the air/heat and the engine RPM revs to 1500 without me pressing the gas and stays at 1500 RPM.
3. i turn off the air/heat the the RPM goes back to 800ish RPM.
4. i turn on the air/heat again to see if i was dreaming and the RPM revs and stays at 1500 without me pressing the gas, it felt like brake torquing.

after warming up the car to normal operating temp, i turn on the air/heat and it does not rev my engine.

A/C does not effect the out come, only turning on the air/heat to the lowest setting.

1500 seems a bit high for that however. Mine will sit at about 1000 when it's cold (we've had lows in the 20s the past few days here in KC).
