ECU Tuning and throttle response
Hey guys!
Back in August I bought a 2018 IS300 F-Sport Brand new from the dealer. It is my second IS since back in 2009 My father had bought me a 2010 IS250 AWD for University (I grew up obsessed with the toyota Alteza and when the second generation Alteza (Lexus IS) was shown in 2006 I went nuts for it). I picked the 300 over the 350 because of my love for old Turbo inline 4 from toyota like the 3s-GTE and the fact that in super GT Lexus is using an engine derived from the 8AR-FTS engine making 640HP.
Anyway, recently vising my old friends in Japan, I drove his 2019 Toyota Crown Athletes (Technically a few inches long version of our IS) and it has the same engine and power train. That car only had two mods but, the car felt just as I wish our car felt! It was preppy, the throttle response was immediate, the engine gather revs quickly. I don't want much HP since the IS chases is the second best handling car behind the GT86, but I want better engine response.
He only installed the following parts to his car:
The TOM's Electric Throttle Controller "L.T.S.Ⅲ":
https://tomsracing-shop.com/goods_en_jpy_20.html
The TOM's Power Box:
https://tomsracing-shop.com/goods_en_jpy_20.html
The car felt as if it had gained an other 50 HP but, of-course it had not.
So, my question to the Club Lexus community is: Has anyone installed any of these in there IS? Is there anywhere in The U.S. I can get this modifications installed? One more thing I am thinking of doing is also adding the LSD from the 2018 IS350 in to my IS300 has anyone done this mod as well?
Sorry for the long post and thank you very much guys!

Honestly, the Burger Motorsport piggyback is what most of us are rocking on the 4 banger turbo. It makes the car feel MUCH quicker, idk about the throttle controller though I’ve heard mixed reviews on that I think people get the Apexi throttle controller.. The LSD I haven’t heard of anyone actually doing it yet, but doesn’t mean it can’t be done.

I have tested the TOM's power box with dyno results. See the thread link below.

What did you think of the 2019 Crown? Under the skin that's the 5th generation of the GS which may or may not be getting reworked for Lexus duty should the GS line die in the US after 2019.

The ride quality is great. Very composed in long fast corners. Extremely stable at 217km/h.
It flet like a much smaller car. If they sold that crown in the states I would buy it right away.
