Autorcross and SCCA road racing.
Hi guys,
In August I bought a Lexus Is300 F-sport and now i am looking to start Autocross and eventually get a second one to bad trip down and tune for SCCA road racing.
Has anyone autocrossed the IsTurbo?
Do you have any tips?
Should i switch ti Michelim ir Bridgestone over dunlop?

you are the most important factor in a driving event. don't worry about your tires for now. in fact, you'd want to DOWNGRADE your tires as this would help you become a better driver and learn nuanced car control.
i haven't auto X'd this car, but i'd leave it in M mode and sport (for throttle response).
it's quite a heavy car so keep that in mind. and also keep in mind you will understeer and knock over cones =) slower and smooth is faster in auto X than going ***** out (and just about any racing)

Firs things first .. upgrade the front Lower Control Arm Bushings to GSF or RR-Racing.
Did you upgrade suspension? If so, you may want to also upgrade to lightweight 19" wheels.

I'd do GSF bushings. Not the other mentioned. I'd disagree that bushings come first though. YOU come first. As in the driver's ability. Worry about "upgrades" later as you become more skilled.
Way back in the day I use to take down or keep up w/ 911s in an automatic Civic on some of the famous mtn roads here in SoCal. I learned to use what I've got.
Had a friend that did the same w/ a bone stock 4 door toyota automatic. no mods at all. 185 series tires. he couldn't do much uphill but downhill supercars got destroyed. the way he made that pos dance. lol

What kills about these cars is the rear camber. You would just be understeering everywhere which is not fun or fast. If you can, invest on some camber adjustments and some dedicated track tires, not street tires..
