Default Low coolant?

For about 24 hours when I drive my 15 is250 I smell a burning plastic smell inside the cabin. It comes and goes but is a bit alarming. Since it's about time for an oil change I check my oil and although dirty it's pretty full. I just so happen to check the coolant and we'll, there is just about none in the tank.. what could cause this. I I've only driven the car about 9000 miles the past 12 months. I'm bringing the car into service tomorrow to see what's going on. Anyone experience this?

my coolant is right at the low line. I don't know how I am losing the stuff, but I'll probably ask for a top up at my next oil change.

Check water pump. #GR motors have water pump issues.

My 14 350 ended up having a cracked thermostat, which leaked coolant. A few hundred miles later the radiator died. Is your engine temp going up at all?

No I have kept an eye on temperature. SA was concerned as car has low miles 29k and it's 3 years old I am the original owner. Luckily I left the coolant low as he stated it's best to show the mechanic there is no Coolant when the car comes in.
