Nobody at work will envy you? Most people I work with drive Honda Civic's. And the funny thing is, my manager at work joked that I was overpaid when he found out I got a Lexus. Lol

i feel like when the 3rd gen first came out once the reviews came out with the IS350 on top that it almost won over some people from the german side, however they won’t do that without competitive numbers (hp) it’s sad because lexus knows how to make attractive cars and superb interiors but don’t have the performance to back it up... however i do consider lexus on the same level as audi, mercedes, and bmw because it’s usually compared to them most of the time while infiniti acura and genesis are the lower tier luxury makers most people will buy to say they have a luxury car. at least lexus differentiates enough from toyota where an infiniti qx60 and nissan pathfinder have the same interior minus the badge. same with acura.

Sheesh. I mean I have had folks be like "Wow, this is a nice car", but no one has joked that I was possibly overpaid. 
But I am at a tech company and I think people realize engineers make decent money. Not all of them choose to spend it on a car, or they have kids and other priorities, etc.
In the avoidance of doubt I would have the excuse of "Oh I paid off my student loans, that's how I can afford this."

I work in Miami Lol so maybe things are different here, there's countless IS's at work and where i live which is I why I wanted to get an RC next to be different. Nobody around here bats an eye at a stock IS lol. You'd probably need 911's, AMG's and M3's to garner envy here. At least those are the cars I gawk at in the parking lot at work.
