Default 2015 IS 250 Bi xenon vs single xenon?

Hi so my IS 250 (non F sport) has 2 xenon bulbs but there are some IS 250's I see with reviews that have a single xenon, was that an option Lexus offered or is it that the ones shipped to different countries have different types (Canada Vs Euro Vs U.S.)? I am confused as why there are 2 different types of headlights.

There are 2 types of headlights that were used on the 2015 IS, either an HID setup with a bi-xenon projector (single projector with low and high beam) or an optional LED setup that utilizes two projectors (one for low beam, one for high beam).

There is no "single xenon" option for the 3IS.

Is there a benefit of having either or? That's what I was wondering, was it an option? Thanks for the reply

The LED lights are technically superior to HID in a few ways. The LED "bulbs" will last longer and draw less power compared to HID. LEDs also run cooler.

I think it's probably not enough of a difference to make it worth buying one IS over another though. And yeah, not sure what "single Xenon" is either - perhaps those reviews were not correct? Bi-Xenon just means both low- and high-beam is Xenon. You could say the F Sport LEDs are "Bi-LED", but no one really says that.

well, show some pics. Europe has only Bi Xenon or LED. Never seen or heard of 2bulbs.

In the states there was an optional LED headlamp on the premium package I believe (LED's were standard on the F-sport)

The single projector is Xenon HID, the Dual projectors are LED.

Ah, that makes sense. If you look at pictures of the Xenons, it looks like there's only one bulb.

Then there's the F Sport model.

The bi-xenons are the single projector units. Two projectors = LED.

Thank you. This is what I was trying to say.

Bi-Xenon just means both low- and high-beam is Xenon.
