Is that 5 years and 60K miles total? As in, you'd only have 21,000 left? In my experience the warranty was total miles and years - not additional.
Verify this info.
My agreement effective date was the day I bought my car brand new, not after the manufacture warranty expired. The mileage is a total of 75,000.
I paid nowhere near $3000.

He said it was 5 years from the date I bought the warranty, and 60K miles incremental to current mileage. I also bought my car new. I still have 1 yr of orig warranty left.

The only thing that could go wrong w/ a 200T really (if at all) is the turbo. A used turbo on ebay is dirt cheap. and you can either DIY free or pay some shop $500. you'd need to replace 5 turbos before you recoup the cost of the warranty. Everything else on the 3IS (including 200t) is bulletproof. Warranty on a lexus is a waste of money.

I'd be willing to bet though that the turbo will never fail within 200k miles.

Yeah, I agree. Mine is a 350 f sport, so no turbo.
