Default 18' is300 6-Speed auto - Rough shifts low speed?

For all you 6 speed owners, a question. Feels like my IS is a bit jerky at low speeds. For example, if i am in traffic and i roll up to the car behind me without coming to a complete stop then get back on the gas if feels a bit jerky..or if i rolled up to a stop sign and do a rolling stop, starting back on the gas feels a bit weird. It almost feels like its forcing me to come to a complete stop to make it smooth. I have the gear display on the dash and it seems it happens when the car drops to 1st and then goes right back to 2nd when hitting the gas..thoughts? thanks fellas..

Mine has the same feel and to be honest, my family has owned a 2IS 300 since it was new in 04' and it even feels like that. I've always just thought that it was just the 'aggressiveness' of the transmission tune. For example... going from park to drive in these cars is a lot different than other sedans. It's more jerky there as well.

By, "without coming to a complete stop", do you mean, like 5 MPH? Because in that scenario, the car downshifts to first. Any time you shift into first, it is going to be a little jerky. But it can't stay in second gear at that speed because the revs are too low. Seems normal/intentional if that is the case.
At slightly higher speeds, like 8 MPH for instance, it will stay in second gear and have a smooth takeoff.
