I say stick with it. its already pre cut. Would be too much effort in my opinion to retape it. just clean the trunk very very well using a degreaser with no scents or moisterizers in it, then use adhesion promoter.

 

 

Agree w/Pittsy. Tom's makes good stuff. I'd trust their adhesive.

I was at home depot and came across Gorilla brand clear double sided tape. I hate marketing hype. Is this tape as good as 3M tape?

 

agree. make sure your hands and surface are super clean

 

seconded the gorilla tape. Have used it to stick my roof spoiler and it is stuck on there now.

 

I use that on my spoiler and dash cams and its a ***** to remove so it's going no where which is what you want.
