Yeah, that's kinda what I figured. By definition, you'll have better airflow by removing the filter, but not enough to really be worth it. Plus, you are not up to emissions standards, so it seems like a debatable investment to go and remove it.

I was probably the first in the world to remove it. See my original post dating back.

People have been doing this in the blue and white community for a decade or so too.

Helps absorb vapor thats in the intake tract.

Thought of you @E46CT as soon as I saw this video lol. You were definitely the first in the CL forums, from what I can recall, who stated this. Pretty cool to see actual numbers.

Yah at least here.

I'm sure some guy in Japan experimented. LOL.

Who knows though how this works with a turbocharger. but it's a restriction removed nonetheless. Cars still got SULEV ratings before charcoal filters were a thing so I'm not too worried about it.

Removed mine today.

Thinking I'll maybe put a stock filter in there to deter them from checking when it comes time for emissions inspection. Or take it to the guy I know who wont check.

Of course, I'm assuming being In California they are a state that would fail my test for this (if found missing)
