I still have no idea what you're talking about. I am not concerned with or even remotely thinking about accessing driving the car with the phone.

Again we are talking about the cool feature of remotely accessing the car's security cameras using an iPhone app. That's it. Nothing to do with anything to do with any driving.

Not yet. The only option is to turn on/off Sentry mode because it does drain battery. I’m pretty sure Tesla will have this in the future. I know that 3D camera in the app is subscription based for BMW Connected app.

Saw the new G20 3 Series in person.. wow what a looker. Pics do not do it justice. Plenty of design in person.

I saw it person as well. Looked big to me, especially when I came back out to my IS (not a bad thing just oddly surprising!). Design is pretty good for the most part...the big chrome kidney grille kills the front end though! So...chrome! And so...big! Even the M Performance black grille looks odd, in pictures at least. It's still too big and very black. Maybe a dark satin chrome option would look better.

I totally agree, the new 3 looks big. I saw one parked next to a previous-gen Honda accord, in my office parking lot. The 3 was taller than the Accord. That says a lot, IMHO.

It's really strange because the new 3 series is less than an inch bigger (length, height, width) than the IS! And for them most part the same size as the current A4 and C Class as well. I think it's because it has grown quite a bit from the F30 so it just seems so much larger.

Right. The 3IS is essentially identical to the F30 3-series in dimensions (it's about 1 inch longer, but same width and height).

I drove one it doesn't seem that big inside it feels about the same as IS, I didn't check out back seats though.

The new G20 is actually almost the same size as the IS (~1 inch longer but that's it). The F30 was 2-3 inches shorter than both the IS and new G20. That's what blows my mind, is that the new G20 looks so much more bulbous and big, but it's actually not any bigger than the competition or the current IS. So when everyone thinks that the 4IS is going to get bigger (it probably will), that would make it the largest in the segment.

According to Google, the G20 is also one inch taller than the 3IS, but the F30 is the same height. I believe it!

Yeah who knows...each source is slightly different. I see the G20 at 56.8 inches (height) and the IS at 56.3. Regardless, at 1 inch or less than 1 inch difference, it certainly looks way more massive.

Yeah I'd black out the kidneys, not generally a fan of blacking out, but they need it as they kind of stick out w/ the chrome. It is definitely a big car, about what the 5 Series used to be. That's why BMW has a 2-Series which is what the 3 Series used to be.

But this is the new benchmark now. It's a good thing for Lexus fans cause Lexus will definitely buy a few of these to reverse engineer and benchmark. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if they had a few G20s right now at Toyota HQ for benchmarking analysis. And possible dissection.

Porsche was seen doing this with some Teslas the other day.

I think the way it looks is more exaggerated than the numbers would suggest. Yeah sounds like the "1 inch" difference is actually just a rounding thing.

For whatever it's worth, I do like certain elements of the new 3. Just feel it's a little too busy. And that's coming from a Lexus owner.
