Did a quick search and didnt really find any thread going in depth. I picked up a set of forged wheels but trying to figure out the pros and cons of aluminum vs plastic hub centric rings. I get that a hub centric ring isnt really necessary if proper torque is applied, but Id rather have it there just in case.
Was looking at Project KICS 73mm outer bore to the 60mm inner bore.

I have aluminum hub centric rings that came with my aftermarket wheels. Honestly, I would go with plastic. I got these aluminum for free so I ended up running it. However, the aluminum tend to have rust markings after time to time onto the hub...

I would go plastic, it may seem silly to some but these aluminum ones may seize onto the hub, depending on where you live with weather and road conditions.
I personally have plastic ones for the aftermarket wheels on my LS, 2 years, no problems. Got them on Amazon.
