Default 2018 IS300 RWD vs 2019 IS300 AWD

Hey all! Need some quick advice/help since we are looking to make the final decision within a couple of hours and can't decide one way or the other. We put off our car purchase from last year and are about to make pick between 2 cars. Hoping you all can provide some insight and help!

Car 1: (Will need to travel out of state to purchase)
2018 Lexus IS 300 F-Sport (Turbo Engine)
- Navigation
- 1/4 Hood PPF (Dealer adding on at my request)
- $36,500 OTD

Car 2:
2019 Lexus IS 300 F-Sport (AWD = 6 cylinder)
- No Nav
- $38,400 OTD

Any advice on which way to lean?
Appreciate the help.

I mean it sounds like a couple of things will make your decision easier if you answer them:
* Do you need nav?
* Do you need AWD?

If neither, I could see where this would be challenging. But my gut feeling is to go for the 300 RWD due to its lower price and the inclusion of nav. If you really prefer having a 6 cylinder, the other option is there.

Yep, and there's where the issue is. No need for nav but do like the larger screen since it looks nicer. I mean I don't think AWD is needed, could live with RWD. Doesn't snow here much at all for that to be a requirement.

+1, get some winter tires and have fun. Here in KC we have heavy snow occasionally, which makes me glad I have the AWD version, but most of the time RWD would be fine.

Also yeah, good point on the larger screen. To me it sounds like the RWD is the one. What car are you coming from?

I'll be trading in my 2013 G37xS. I had a 2015 IS 250 before that and missed that Lexus feeling a lot. Now planning to settle down and own one for a while!

I would get the 300 AWD. Its basically a detuned 350 so an RR ECU upgrade will turn it into the 350. The V6 is a significantly better and more responsive engine than the turbo 4.

Yeah, now that I see you are coming from the G37, you might like having a V6 again. But, since you mentioned the 300 RWD, I figured it wasn't a necessity. Up to you.

If you could find a 300 AWD with the features you want, that'd probably be ideal.

If you want that V6 power you’re used to getting from the G37 (that was the car I had before my IS), get the AWD and get the RR Racing tune to pretty much get it to the same power as the IS 350. If you don’t care that much about having closer to the same power as the G37 go with the 4 Banger turbo since it’s RWD it will be a little more fun. I enjoy my IS turbo even though the G37 was pretty beast lol. Regardless, the turbo doesn’t get LSD and I don’t think the 300 does either only the 350.
