Inversed consumption
Hi all,
Hope someone can help me speeding up a fix. Since my last oil change at a local shop, my IS350 is reporting "reversed" gas consumption. Essentially when I press the gas pedal, the number of liter per 100km decrease (Increase mpg). When I depress it, or go downhill, the reported consumption increase.
Does someone has an idea of what the garage could have done wrong? They essentially did an oil change and played with the computer to reset the next maintenance.
Thanks for your insights!

I think I may be misunderstanding what the issue is.
With MPG's, the higher the number the better the fuel consumption.
With Litre per 100kms, the lower the number the better the fuel consumption.
It sounds like, from what you're saying, the Litre per Kilo is going down when you accelerate...but then in the next sentence you said when you 'depress it', the consumption increases?
What's 'it'?
When you're going downhill are you on the gas pedal or off? I would assume off.
When you're stopped at a traffic light the instant fuel consumption should be the worst (litre per kilo the highest) because the car is running, but you're not moving.

Sorry if this is a silly question, but what you describe is how it should work when measured in MPG, so I am wondering if the units got changed in your cluster?

Actually (And I'll leave the thread here so other people know), the car information system was switch by the garage to KM/L (Canadian Model). Strangely (and this is likely a design issue), the display remains at L/100KM even if the setting is not using this unit (On my 2014 model, at least). So, after switching it back the setting to L / 100 km, everything went back to "expected" behavior.
Thanks for your assistance!
