200T. Morning and evening rush hour commutes i get between 13-16 indicated. Usually around 15. My CT200h gets about 38-40 on the same commute. it's like a breath of fresh air. especially with gas here in socal approaching $5 a gallon.

The IS just uses old conservative tech. If it had a modern transmission like the ZF 8 speeds in all its competitors, that alone would free up so much gas mileage.

your typical aggressive 335i/340i driver is average 19-22 mpg without breaking a sweat. and that engine can rip chains out of a wall. amazing what tech can do.

15mpg is what a fully race prepped car should get. not your typical grandma lexus.

On the same commute, with stop-and-go traffic, a 335i is getting that?

I have a hard time believing that...
