Default Condensation in headlight

Just noticed that my passenger side headlight has condensation in it. It rained for a few days straight this week and today it was 80 degrees and sunny. So I'm guessing that has something to do with it.

I will be investigating the headlight for cracks tomorrow.

That being said, how do I go about getting the condensation out in the meantime? Take one of the plugs off of the back and let it air out?

I know there is a TSB for this, but the car is a 2015 and only has the drivetrain warranty remaining.

Tried that for the interior screen TSB and they weren't having it. Doubt they will do it on the headlight which is a much more expensive part.

Mine had a crack on the bottom which I'm sure the dealer did when they had my car over a week! Corporate got involved and had another dealer replace it. Hope it works out for you!

My car hasn't been to the dealer since I've owned it. The dealer is not going to be replacing it.

That being said, I'm looking for ideas on how to fix this myself. I'm thinking of putting a couple moisture packs in it for the day. Then examining and filling any cracks with RTV.

In my manual it states moisture is okay as long as water isn’t actually in there. It really shouldn’t have moisture though so idk.

While I'm sure it's not harming anything, it is killing my OCD, haha. I'll try leaving a moisture pack in it the next sunny day and report back with the results.

Just curious if anyone else had some ideas.

Honestly, I would be upset and annoyed lol. What you plan on doing is the best option. That’s what I did on my 2000 Celica since I was having the same issue on that car. It didn’t really work though probably because I didn’t seal the right area.

I'd just pull the light and look for any deficiencies causing the moisture. then fix it. could simply be a gap that's opened up between the glue that holds the halves together.
