Greetings all,
I just picked up a 2015 IS350 F Sport this weekend and the ventilated seats don't seem to be working that well. I have researched other threads here and done some research elsewhere so I am aware of how they are supposed to work. Before purchasing the car I test drove several and in one the ventilated seats worked great, but the one I purchased the seats are under-performing. Specifically, there is not much air flow through the bottom of the seats and there appears to be none through the backs. I have cleaned the seats with a damp cloth, but they present as clean.
I found a video on Youtube showing a stripped Lexus ventilated seat confirming that the seat has fans both in the bottom and back of the seat. I understand that there could have been a liquid spill in the seat prior to my purchase that could be hampering air flow through the bottom of the seat, but I don't understand how that could affect the back of the seat as it would be hard to get liquid in that location.
I guess I'm looking to confirm if the 2015 IS350 has seat back fans.
I'm also interested in suggestions anyone has as to how I might be able to improve the airflow that exists.
Thanks!
