How do you mitigate inner tire wear? Unless this isn’t something I need to worry about with stock stance

Evidently the stock lower control arm bushings are soft enough that under accel and braking the tire moves enough in to create un even wear on inner wall. Check the other thread I have going to see this all explained. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...-reliable.html

The "fix" is to replace the stock bushings for harder ones. Either from the RCF / GSF or aftermarket.

Alternatively, you could try playing with alignment to mitigate the inner wear. 7,000 miles on my latest set of tires and no signs of inner tire wear yet. Only change was a slight toe-in at the front. I will continue monitoring this to see if inner wear develops later.

And another vote for the Conti DWS06, mine are fantastic. Probably not the very quietest, but among the best, and all around fantastic tire.

I switched from the DWS to the CONTINENTAL TRUECONTACT TOUR SL, which is not ultra-high performance, but I get better mpg, it's a quieter ride and likely the tire will go a few K miles longer. I don't race, and can't go above 80-90 on our streets, so don't understand the need for the DWS any more. Maybe when i was young, full of testosterone, and needed to feel the rush, I would go back to the DWS. I also run oversized (taller) by 3 inches than OEM.

Dws 06 are very quiet. I have been running them on my is350 since Nov ‘18 and they have awesome snow traction and wet grip. One problem is - sidewall is too soft and it is kinda meh in terms of the steering response (unless you run them 4 psi higher) as well as cornering stability. So, if you like a luxurious and quite ride - dws06 tire is for you.

I was wonder the same thing about the quietness....I am about to (fingers crossed) buy a 2016 IS 200t F-Sport, what are the quietest tires for that model? i'm sorry I do not know the tire/wheel specs yet....also, which would have the most quiet ride: the F-Sport or the non F-Sport?....My biggest thing is road whine from tires, that annoying high pitched (altho not loud) constant whine when driving

Avoid the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+’s they make a high pitched noise at 70 MPH. They are the tires I have I knew they were going to make that noise but it doesn’t bother me. Best option is summer tires like the Michelin Pilot PS4’s or the previous gen Michelin Pilot Super Sports. The best summer budget tires are the Firehawk Indy 500’s. For A/S you can find multiple threads on that.

Will these fit directly into a 2014 is350 f sport? Few websites state they dont but it's probably running a funky auto check software and not personal experience. Are these item numbers all you would need(bushing and housing unit)? Similar to the figs or rr usrs fixes?

Yeah, they are really good tires, probably the one of the best summer tires for grip and performance. However, they are really soft so they don't last very long. I've had them for about 20,000 miles and I am looking at replacing them now, probably with the Pilot Sport A/S 4 for a little longer life. If you don't mind the short life, then there is probably not a better tire.

A few users claim they heard nothing from the A/S 3, but I found them pretty loud too. And as they got older and wore unevenly, they made my car sound like those lifted trucks on the highway - ridiculous humming sound.

I switched to Continental DWS 06+ (and added the RCF/GSF LCA bushings). I think these tires are significantly quieter than the A/S 3s were. I'm very happy with them. Can't speak for any summer tires though.
