What are the MOST silent tires for my IS?
2016 IS 200t. Just wanted some thoughts on what are the quietest tires for this car? I have 18" factory rims.

Anything from Michelin. Not worth it considering how fast the car eats tires.
In this class of car, the tire you'd install on it are all within 1db of eachother. they're all loud. not something you'll notice and definitely not worth the extra money you'd spend.
this isn't the right car for quietness. that's the new ES.

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+'s are NOT quiet lol. I have these and they make a loud hum at about 65-75 mph, but I love those tires so don't care about noise. I run Michelin's because I have the stiffer LCA bushings so not getting that inner tire wear anymore. Don't recommend expensive tires if you haven't mitigated the inner tire wear.

What kind of tires do you need? I have seen both summer and all-season recommended so far. You're in FL so not sure you need all-seasons.
If it was all-seasons, I would say the Continental DWS06+ are quieter than most. Definitely not the BFGoodrich G-Force Comp-2 A/S lol. They aren't terribly loud but are somewhat louder than the OE tire at times.

Such good info! Yeah, I am going to take your advice and soon order the LCA bushings from Toyota (I think you said it was from the RC / GS) is that correct? Any chance you have a part number or link to the exact ones I would need for my car? Something tells me if I ask my SA at Lexus they are going to look at me funny.
You are right, I live in Miami. I am going to have my Independent mechanic install the above mod to help avoid too much inner wear. This seems like a reasonable, and cheap fix that I am willing to do. With that said, I just wanted to get a tire that is as silent as possible (not looking for crazy performance) this is a daily car, and coming from an RX350 (lol) the quite ride is nice. Right now, the car was CPO'ed and the dealer installed some kind of NFERA? tires of it. they are 18";s and I have never heard of them. The car is pretty quite (except highway speeds) so I just figured I would ask to see what are some nice tires that wont be loud.

I would recommend just going with summer tires if you don't see much cold weather. They will be quieter compared to an equally-performant all-season.

Are the two tires I had the quietest ride with. Also you might consider getting slightly bigger sidewall if comfort and noise is your number one factor, our OEM tires are high performance summer tires with small size wall, going to all season with a bigger and softer sidewall will help with comfort but you might give up some performance.
