Default Lets talk gas :-)

Want some thoughts on the "best gas" to use for the 200t engine.

Near me I have:

Mobil
Exxon
Shell
Chevron

Obviously would always use 93 grade premium in this car.

Let me know what you feel is the best choice for engine protection.

Thank you!

Just use Top Tier gas and don't use the same gas all the time in order to get a good mix of additives.

All of the above are Top Tier. Even some cheaper brands like Valero are certified Top Tier. Don't worry too much unless you encounter bad gas, etc.

I see you are excited and posting a lot of new threads thinking you came up w/ fresh topics or ideas. I can assure you based on the kinds of things you post, they've been beat to death before. Searching might help you get through your newbie phase on the forum a bit smoother. Just helping you out =)

All fluids/fuels/oils etc etc etc etc all are within a fraction of percentage of eachother. There's no need to jerk or debate to your personal man-preference or brand. It's a waste of time. As said use top tier gas call it a day and worry about things that actually matter in life.

Trust me I used to jerk to brands and teams myself but in the end you learn there's more to life than all of that and it's not worth it. just enjoy your car, maintain it, and use common sense. =) it's not like the old days where only a few companies made good stuff. today, almost literally everything is spectacular. just stick to common names.

Haha. Yes, your totally right. I know, I am super annoying with questions. I'll do a better job at searching.

Thanks as always for the insight, I truly do appreciate it. I am starting to calm down, and accept the 200t for the long haul now. I spent 3 hours today waxing it.. and man.. what a car! Truly beautiful.

I prefer Shell Gasoline. Just make sure it is an honest station. The Mobil by my house caused this, even though I used their premium gasoline. Happened twice within first year. I just think the station tanks were probably dirty or he wasn't filling them with premium.

Good tip. i never thought of this and I always put the top grade gas at the same branded gas station. I guess having a mix of additives could be a good thing.

I always pumped Shell Premium while in the states. There seems to be a consensus among tuners that Shell's premium is usually the most consistent and top quality overall. That's not to say that other top tier brands are no good, just an observation. Here in Germany, I'm pumping "Esso" aka ExxonMobil but only off base because on base gas is sometimes sketch. Top tier is the best way to go and make sure you avoid sketchy gas stations lol.

Just use top tier gas. I usually only put Shell, Chevron, and Speedway. It’s by my house and it’s considered top tier.

Whatever premium gas Costco or Sam's Club sells for around 30-40 cents cheaper a gallon, as compared to any other gas station around.
