Inside of gas lid wet in rain??
Is it normal for water to seep behind the gas door and sort of puddle up under Neath the gas cap in the rain or car washes? Maybe I am a bit paranoid but isn't that a bit dangerous?

Definitely normal. As long as the gas cap is tightened properly no water should be able to touch the inside of your gas tank. If a few drops did get in there it would be fine. Just don't ever let a bunch of water get in if you have the gas cap off (not sure why you would if it should only be off when pumping gas).

Yes, a little puddling or drops of water after a car wash or hard rain is completely normal behind the gas door. It shouldn't be too much though, otherwise you'd need to check the door alignment or seal around the door.

There's no need to ever even remotely think of water going behind the door. not a concern on any level whatsoever. in fact i always pressure wash inside there on all cars. cars are meant to get wet. i always find this "can my car get wet" mentality kind of funny. but i suppose its from people who don't really know much about how cars work.
cars can get immensely wet, practically anywhere outside the interior. submerged even.
don't at all think about it. not even for a second.
