Default 2018 IS350 rear seat belt light staying on

I purchased the car new, it now has 16,500mi. Today the rear seat belt red light indicator began staying on at startup for 15-20 seconds. No one and nothing in the back seat.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Do you have objects on the back seats? I’m trying to remember if mine does that too. If I remember correctly it does that before I go into drive. I think it’s only supposed to stay on if it senses weight and the seatbelts aren’t clicked in.

Nothing in the back seat. Maybe someone else can pay attention to theirs today and let me know if I've just not been paying attention...I might have just focused on this(?)

Today, cold start had the warning lights stay on about 15 seconds. Warm start up about 30 minutes later, the lights were off almost instantly.

Normal systems check upon startup of the vehicle. Mine does it as well, ‘17MY, unless an occupant is in the back seat, then the one occupied spot stays on until the seatbelt is set. Nothing to be worried about, unless they fail to turn off with nothing present in the back seat.
